How is this different from an AI chat app?＋
Chat is a starting point. SelfAI runs on your computer and can use selected work files, inspect the machine, and help organize files or run programs through authorized tools. Changes are planned for your approval first.
Can I use it without coding?＋
Yes. Ask things like “Why is this computer slow?” or “Help organize this folder.” SelfAI aims to explain in everyday language and show concrete actions for approval instead of making you learn commands.
Must I stay online? Where does my data go?＋
It depends on your model. Installed local models run on your computer, though initial downloads usually need internet access. With cloud models, relevant conversations and material go to the selected provider. Offline activation does not need an online check.
Can every computer run the same models?＋
No. Capacity depends on the chip, memory and model size. SelfAI and the AI model are separate; connect a compatible model service after installation and follow the app's checks for your platform.
Will it delete files or change settings on its own?＋
Cleanup, installation and program execution are planned for confirmation. You can approve or cancel. Programs use your permissions, not an isolated sandbox. Check the target and action; stopping a task does not undo completed changes.
How do workspaces, attachments and the knowledge base differ?＋
A workspace is a local folder you select. Attachments supply temporary context and are not automatically added to the knowledge base; they may need adding again after restart or expiry. The knowledge base stores material you deliberately import for reuse. Images require a capable model; video is sampled.
